Our growing agency has an opening for a full-time, expert WordPress developer (Theme & Plugin) that will allow this person the luxury of working from home with limited travel. We are looking to hire a skilled WordPress Developer (Theme & Plugin) to design and implement attractive and functional websites for our clients. You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development including the implementation of WordPress themes and plugins as well as site integration and security updates. To ensure success as a WordPress Developer, you should have in-depth knowledge of front-end programming languages, a good eye for aesthetics, and strong content management skills. Ultimately, a top-class WordPress Developer can create attractive, user-friendly websites that perfectly meet the design and functionality specifications of the client.

Job Responsibilities

Strong knowledge of WordPress
Designing and implementing new features and functionality
Establishing and guiding the website's architecture
Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.

Prospective WordPress Developers are required to have 2 years of experience in programming languages and framework skills.
Excellent knowledge about WP custom post type, custom taxonomy and custom meta box
Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
Fluent in WordPress, PHP, plugins, themes security, JavaScript and other technologies
Proficient with relational (SQL) and non-relational database platforms
Expert understanding of API integration, common WordPress plugins and WordPress template structure and their implications for development and client objectives
Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
Comfortable working with debugging tools
Problem-solving capabilities
Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wire-frames into working HTML page
