Job Context
Our growing agency has an opening for a full-time, expert WordPress developer (Theme & Plugin) that will allow this person the luxury of working from home with limited travel. We are looking to hire a skilled WordPress Developer (Theme & Plugin) to design and implement attractive and functional websites for our clients. You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development including the implementation of WordPress themes and plugins as well as site integration and security updates.
To ensure success as a WordPress Developer, you should have in-depth knowledge of front-end programming languages, a good eye for aesthetics, and strong content management skills. Ultimately, a top-class WordPress Developer can create attractive, user-friendly websites that perfectly meet the design and functionality specifications of the client.
Job Responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of WordPress
- Designing and implementing new features and functionality
- Establishing and guiding the website's architecture
- Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
- Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor degree in any discipline
- Training/ Trade Course: WordPress,Elementor,PHP
- Skills Required: Elementor, JavaScript, jQuery, PSD to HTML, WordPress
Experience Requirements
- The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
- Elementor, JavaScript, jQuery, PSD to HTML, WordPress
Additional Requirements
- Prospective WordPress Developers are required to have 2 years of experience in programming languages and framework skills.
- Excellent knowledge about WP custom post type, custom taxonomy and custom meta box
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
- Fluent in WordPress, PHP, plugins, themes security, JavaScript and other technologies
- Proficient with relational (SQL) and non-relational database platforms
- Expert understanding of API integration, common WordPress plugins and WordPress template structure and their implications for development and client objectives
- Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
- Comfortable working with debugging tools
- Problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
- Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
- Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
- Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wire-frames into working HTML page
